According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?
According to Jesus, to be loved by God means to keep His word. If we love Jesus and keep His word, the Father will love us. Jesus is in His Father and we, who keep His word, are in Jesus. God gave us His Son that whoever believes in Him sould not perish but have eternal life and if we believe in Him, we will keep His commandments. It all boils down to obedience. If we keep His word, obey His commandments and love our Lord we are set. But if we stubbornly go our own way knowing what we know, we are being disobedient. Then how can the Father love us. Then again He says that no one will snatch them out of His hand because we are His sheep and His sheep know His voice and follow Him. Jesus even goes on to give us these words... If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. How true these scripture words are. I had a terrible stomach pain about 2:00a.m. one morning. No medicine around. I kept rolling in bed. Then I remembered these words, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. I asked my Jesus to take away the pain and quoted His words. Talk about instant magic. Like the snapping of your fingers, the pain was gone. My Jesus rocks! Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father`s commandments, and remain in his love. I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. Thank you Jesus for your words.

According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?
From what I understand it means that to be Loved By God you must first love his son Jesus. You must follow the 10 commandments which in my opinion no one on this earth follows all 10. we all slack on at least 1 or 2. To find someone following the entire 10 commandments he or she would have to be a Saint. Please, I don`t think so! there is none on the universe as far as I am concern. The only Saint is our Father in heaven. So we do the best we can while living on this earth. But we are all far from being a Saint. To me God will Love and accept me as long as I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and try the best I can to abide by the 10 commandments. Love one another as I Love you he said.

What things can we (the branches) do to help us remain in Jesus (the vine).
I believe the most important thing we can do to remain in Jesus is to study His Word faithfully and to continue to strive to be like Him; even though it is impossible to be that perfect we must continue to try. He will forgive us where we fail and He will strengthen us when we need Him. By our faith and our continued practice of His Way, His light will shine through us. We must spread the Word so our brothers can share in the peace and love that is Jesus.

What things can we (the branches) do to help us remain in Jesus (the vine).
Just like the vines, we are all jointed to the main branches. As long as we worship Jesus and God, stay a sinless life and always pray and read the bib le and going to church , have fellowship with other christians, would remaind us of Jesus and how we can encourage each other.

The Vine and the Branches

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If a man doesn't remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
"In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so you will be my disciples. Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and remain in his love. I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
"This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you. You didn't choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
"I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
