Jesus's point here is that He is God the son the creator of the universe. He is claiming that He was there before the earth existed. Jesus is God the provider of life. He accoplished that which He came for to give life in its fullness " John 10 Vs 10". Jesus has all authority given to Him from God the father to give erternal life to all who believe in Him. When one know God (Daniel 11 Vs 32) and believe in Jesus (2 Cholonicles 20 Vs 20) God will give him/her erternal life.
