How does Jesus growth strike you? to me from helpless babe to mighty fighter of evil spirits with a `simple` imposition of the hand? like on Mary and Elisabeth and Zachariah. The powerful touch of faith whose God sent power touches deep in our hearts and souls and pervades the whole of us so that like human Jesus we can satnd up in the temple, some, or fight our temptations like Jesus did and bear our crosses. The power of `the calm quiet firm Godrooteness - the raising of the hand and the evisl spirits fly away in obedience. Stand still and know that God is with thee - like the Angels protecting the fragile but strong Holy Family. Liek any of us when we fully entrust our vulnerable selves to God`s hands. Because after a while he would get tired and go away for a while and pray to the Heavenly Father. After healing so many people and casting out demons and preaching the good news to all who would listen and believe the word of God. Even Jesus needed to rest from all his work and enjoy some time to himself. But he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent." Can you image having so many people who are sick coming to your door wanting to be healed if you had the healing power of Jesus Christ. He rose up from the
synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was
afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him for her. He stood over her, and rebuked
the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
When the sun was setting,
all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and
he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. Demons also came out from many,
crying out, and saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of God!"
Rebuking them, he didn't allow them to speak, because they knew that he
was the Christ.
When it was day, he
departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the multitudes looked for
him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn't go away from
them. But he said to
them, "I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of
God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been
sent." He was
preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
