Fully human
When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, ``Don`t cry.`` He does feel strongly - there is many a place where the Bible says he cried. Ex Lazarus. It`s fully part of his humanity. Interesting that the Bible says the Lord not Jesus - calling him with a human name would have made him feel closer to us and so we would have been less struck. The all powerful Lord is in tears - maybe not always literally - but am sure - and that`s a true feeling - he had a knot in the throat many times. Com-passion feeling with emphathy. He is the face of the Lord that we are called to mirror and let shine over as we lean on others in pain. We can only find peace in the Lord. The son of the widow is called back to life but he must not be I feel `misled` in forgetting that true peace and happiness and Life come when we are welcomed in heaven -.if we have deserved it. My prayers to all who are facing physical suffering either directly or through a loved one.May they all look up at heaven as Jesus must have done throughout his mission looking up at the consoling face of the Father. Our father who art in Heaven...

I felt that jesus wanted people to know that he very compassiated. He want to show the people that he is the son of GOD and to believe in him. He want to show people the miracle of GOD so people can repent and follow him.

The Miracle that Jesus is
Jesus Himself is a Miracle to us all as the Saviour.  His presence on the earth must hve been, and will still be awestriking!!!  The Miracles He shares with people like the widow's son is just an example of the kindness and care Jesus has for those who need it.  We should all take this story to heart.  God bless the world and everyone it.  Amen!!

How much do you think Jesus felt the emotional pain of those around him?

As it says when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, "Don't Cry." And he stood next and touched the coffin and said "Young man, I tell you, arise!" He who was dead sat up and began to speak and he gave him back to his mother. This shows me that he had great sympathy for the crying mother who was already a widow. By rising her son back to life and giving her back that what she has lost. No wonder everyone around them glorified God. Praise the Lord, Jesus!

Jesus Raises a Widow's Son

It happened soon afterwards, that he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him. Now when he drew near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, "Don't cry." He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, "Young man, I tell you, arise!" He who was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother.
Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited his people!" This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea, and in all the surrounding region.
