A Prophet Without Honor
The disbelief is that Jesus was born a carpenter`s family and they do not think that God`s son should be a carpenter. The people`s heart are hard and do not believe that Jesus is God`s son. It`s a sad thing that is the reason Jesus is a Phrophet without Honor in His own town.

Disbelief from own people
Jesus is the son of God. Even though, He could not do a mighty work in his own town among relatives, because of their disbelief. Disbelief is against faith. In disbelief, there will be no positive thinking. The people saw Jesus as the Carpenter and son of Mary. They are not ready to change their view. They are not believing that He is the son of God. Here Jesus is marvelling because of their unbelief. Hence disbelief is against faith, and faith will not work where there is unbelief.

Disbelief
Our Lord`s countrymen are astonished by his wisdom and mighty works he has done and they are offended at him. Isn`t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James etc.. This insulting question seem private and personal since our Lord`s family was not known to most people, small repute among their nieghbors except for their religious devotion and devout act. For this reason He could not do a mighty work there because of feeling of not believing, doubt and distrust.

A Prophet Without Honor

He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him. When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things?" and, "What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands? Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Jude, and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" They were offended at him.
Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house." He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them. He marveled because of their unbelief.
