This passage is saying to put your burdens on the Lord and he will take them from your.  He will provide you rest when you are weary and if your heart is feeling burdened.  He is saying that His love is unconditional and he will make it easier for you to maintain.

Put your burden on his shoulder
JESEUS WAS SAYING THAT WHEN THINGS BOTHER US BRING THEM TO HIM. DON'T LOOK TO MAN FOR YOUR SOLUTION,BUT ONLY HIM. HE WILL TAKE OUR BURDENS AND GIVE US REST. THAT HE WILL RELEAVE US OF OUR PAINS AND HURT. IF WE DON'T TRUST IN HIM OUR PAIN AND HURT WILL NOT DRAW US CLOSER TO HIM BUT ONLY AWAY FROM HIM. WHEN WE GIVE IT TO CHRIST WE SHOULDN'T GO BACK AND PICK THEM UP. THEY ARE TO BE LEFT WITH HIM

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
Here, Jesus means those that think they are 'wise and intelligent', the skeptics that seek proof of God's existence, and that Jesus is the Son of God. By infants, he means those that are humble and willing to 'let go' and let God control their lives and deeds.

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
Because the wise think they are the know it alls and then harder to change if they think their way is righ.. The infants are new sprits and easier to learn the right way that is taugh to them.

Why does the Father hide things from the wise and intelligent and reveal them to infants?
The wise will claim that they have the idea through their wisdom which God denied them and gave those who don`t know the likes of infants here as Jesus said. The infants are those who know less and would know more by learning the word of God.

Rest for the Weary

At that time, Jesus answered, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight. All things have been delivered to me by my Father. No one knows the Son, except the Father; neither does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and he to whom the Son desires to reveal him.
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
