Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?
First of all, Jesus Christ demonstrated to them the fact that he is aware of what is going to happen.Yet ready, undeterred and unshaking zeal to accomplish what is written in the scriptures. Secondly, He notifies them of this fact inorder to alert them of persecutions ahead even for his followers and encouraging them to remain steadfast in such trial times so as to receive the joy of God`s blessings. Thirdly, he wanted them to know that his death and resurrection will bring victory and not damnation to every one who believes in him - eternal life to us all.

Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that he is about to die?
Jesus wanted them to be strong and prepare themsleves to take over his ministry. I think he also wanted to be sure that they are ready to preach the Kingdom of God without him, because I believe that Jesus had to make sure that they are people prepered enough to preach the gospel to the nations before he had to go back to the Father.

Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?
It was necessary for Jesus to keep telling His disciples that He was about to die to prepare them for the tasks and hardships to follow after His death. This can be likened to a relay race and the person next to receive the baton must be mentally and spiritually ready to do so but cannot be so ready if they were unaware that they were next to receive the baton. The disciples were receiving wisdom and tutelage from Jesus but they had to understand the time for them to practise all that He was teaching them was near.

Jesus Again Predicts His Death

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up."

Matthew 20:17-19
