A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. By: Marcy - April 10, 2007 - Public Category: Jesus Predicts Peter`s Denial (2) Comments |

 | Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment? |
This is really an extension, or summary, of the original ten commandments, as delivered by Moses, not so much a new commandment. With love for one another, all the original commandments would be fufilled automatically. By: Richard Warren - May 07, 2008 - Public Category: Jesus Predicts Peter`s Denial |

 | Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? |
Jesus invested so much in Peter though He knew that Peter would deny Him because Jesus is the Lord who has compassion and love and forgiveful, also Peter knew He is the Messiah. By: Allen Yong - February 13, 2008 - Public Category: Jesus Predicts Peter`s Denial |

 | Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? |
Hello dear friends, Well Jesus saw Peter's life a head.He focused the life of peter after he's gone and it was tremendous.Peter was considered to be too bold,he was the one who used to ask Jesus questions boldly for example we are following you but what shall we get after, where are you going that we can't come? and somany other questions something which perhaps moved jesus. So when Peter repented after the denial, was made a new creature and God used him in great power. | Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? |
Jesus invested much in Peter because He knew that even Peter will deny Him three times , days will come that Peter will be the vessel of the Lord Jesus after repentance. Our Lord Jesus Christ is faithful and Just to forgive our sins " 1 John 1 Vs 8-9". We see the greatness of Jesus' investment from Peter in the Book of Acts 2 Vs 14 - 17" and Acts 4 Vs 8 - 12 that Peter full of the Holy Spirit spoke boldly for Jesus. My prayer right now is that all of us should take the example of Peter by repenting of our sins and speak boldly for Christ Jesus . Amen!!!! Believe to be strong and they shall be expliots in you!!! read "Daniel 11 Vs 32"URL: http://www jesuscentral .com

 | Why does Jesus call Love One Another a New commandment? |
Jesus mission on earth was to reveal the Father to the whole world, yet the jewish world at that time was under the domain of the Law and the Prophets. His mission was reaching the climax, and Jesus had started preparing his disciples for- life after him. He needed to cement the law of love into their hearts and minds. The law of love entailed several dimensions: Loving one another, loving the evil and ungrateful, the master becoming the servant, doing first by example before demanding that others do to you, etc. Jesus knew well that the rest of his world ministry would now have to depend on the Disciples, that is why he issued them the new commandment to love one another. In this way, the world would know that the disciples belong to jesus. It was like giving his followers a new uniform, the color of love. | Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? |
I believe Jesus dearly loved Peter and that He knew Peter better than Peter knew himself. He knew He would have to die before Peter could die for Him. He also knew the strength and power of forgiveness - how much more Peter would realize Jesus` love for him when He forgave Peter for denying Him and asked Peter later three times, `Do you love me?` ''John 21:15-19''. I think this must have sealed the deal in Peter`s heart! And we know that Peter went on to do many marvelous things that glorified God and brought light to sinners helping them find salvation in Jesus Christ, our Lord. | Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him? |
Because he knows the strenght of his love and trust Faith. He is the only one who dared leaving the boat and walk on water. It is also a strong example for us all that encourages us. Like with Paul later on. God forgives always - double triple... 7 times 77. We must always have faith and get back on our feet holding Jesus hand. Life can be troubled and our legs shaky and our steps insecure but God is always there to guide us. All thsi he knew when peter looked straight into his eyes.
