In this account Jesus healed the servants ear. Why did he do such a seemingly small thing while he was being arrested?
My guess is that even in his suffering, Jesus' work was still not done. The Lord still felt obligated to help others in need, putting another person's pain above his own. It's the ultimate show of selflessness; he's about to be tortured and put to death, but he heals the servant not just to show his divine power as the Son of God, but to show that he is still here for us.
