Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Yes, jesus beleives that lowly people are valuable, most of them don`t have things to be called as their own possessions or reaches, only a good heart, kindness, and thier willingness to help, and if they give they give all...even it is the only thing they had...like the widow who gave all what she has out of poverty, just to please God...and Jesus loves these kind of people because they are easy to call to serve God, unlike rich people who cannot give all of their time serving God because they spending too much of thier time doing things to become more powerfull and famous...

Lowly People
Christ loves the lowly, those who need His healing and those who seek Him. For those who follow Him `lowly` must become the Way of Life` for in Truth Jesus came as our Servant King. For myself I too often lack the humility to be lowly so that I may help and serve others that they may see/know the Christ in me.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
Jesus always believed that lowly people are the most valuable because they are the ones who cherish the love & compassion bestowed upon them the most. By being kind & affectionate towards the poor & lowly Jesus teaches that to recieve Him & His majestic presence into our lives, we must also lose all our possessions & become meek & humble.

Befriending and promoting the Lowly.
I think the last two entries I wrote were not saved .I will try again. Acts of kindness generosity toward those around you, reaching out to those less fortunate and making them welcome into your heart and house. Some are lonely , alienated , isolated , because of sickness, disabilities and lack of finances.it is up to each and everyone of us to ask Jesus for the grace to be able to know just the right help to provide at the time to relieve the suffering of those who come into our lives. To be involved in charity work that reaches out to those who are less fortunate would be another way of befriending and promoting the lowly. Lord Jesus give us the grace we need to reach out to those in need.

i believe befriending and promoting the lowly is what we all should do.
i believe this is what we should do because this is what Jesus requires, then if we do what He wants He gives us joy. So then we go out and do more good things. And those poor people are also our brothers and sisters, if we can help our family members then we should also help them. For we all only have one Father, and the same way we honor our father`s at home, we must honor our true Father in Heaven.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?
When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and repayment come to you. But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

Now all the tax-gatherers and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. And both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, "This man receives sinners and eats with them." ( Luke 15:1-2)

Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." ( Matthew 19:13-14)

He called the twelve and said to them, "If any one wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." And taking a child , He stood him in the midst of them; and taking him in His arms, He said to them, "Whoever receives one child like this in My name is receiving Me; and whoever receives Me is not receiving Me, but Him who sent Me." ( Mark 9:35-37)

And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the multitude were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent. And calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, "Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on." ( Mark 12:41-44)

There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. The Samaritan woman therefore said to Him, ‘How is it that You, being a Jew, ask me for a drink since I am a Samaritan woman?" (For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.) ( John 4:7-9)

And it came about when He went into the house of one of the leaders of the Pharisees on the Sabbath to eat bread, that they were watching Him closely…And he went on to say to the one who had invited Him, "When you give a luncheon or a dinner, do not invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or rich neighbors, lest they also invite you in return, and repayment come to you. But when you give a reception, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, since they do not have the means to repay you, for you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." ( Luke :-1-:1)
