A Prophet Without Honor
Know matter how much you try to reach people in your own town they want, want to listen to you.  Because they don't look at where you are now they look at where you have been.  People like to look at your back ground who your family is and what kind of work you do.  People look at the flesh and the materialist things.  They look at what habits you had or who you dealt with not at whats in your heart now.  They want take you serious.

Jesus could not do a mighty work in his own town among relatives because of disbelief. What is disbelief?
Disbelief is to stubbornly refuse to believe, in this case, in Jesus as the messiah, the annointed son of God. That was why they gave a long chronology of Jesus`s roots, according to what they knew: A carpentor`s son, born to Mary and Joseph, and not differnt from the many such other children they saw around - so in utter stubbornness, they mocked him and provoked his anger - demanding to see what they heard about. This charge to prove himself was like putting God to the test, hence breaking one cardinal law of Jesus - not to subject God to the test. Sometimes as believers, we know what the word of God promises, but because of our own disbelieve, based on our knowledge, rather than God`s word; we restrict God`s ability to perform wonderful miracles.

Even if Jesus can do His miracle among His relatives, its still no use because this disbelief will think that miracle perform by Jesus is sort of magic comes from the hands of carpenter. They wondering too much about Jesus miracles without knowing the true purpose of it. I can assume that disbelief people is an ignorant people who call them self a Christian but still hesitates about their salvation and disbelief if God can help them when they are in big big trouble.

His own family and friends where he grew up were very skeptical of his preaching. They knew his parantage and family so how could what He said be true.He was only one of them.So they refused to believe that Jesus was the son of God.He was just the carpenter`s son. What wouldHe know.

Jesus could not do a mighty work in his own town among relatives because of disbelief. What is disbelief?
What is disbelief? Well, according to the dictionary it means the act of disbelieving or mental rejection of something as untrue. Which in this case the people who were related to Jesus and lived with him in his home town did not believe he could perform miracles. So their lack of faith hindered him from performing mighty works. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 Praise Jesus!

A Prophet Without Honor

He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him. When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things?" and, "What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands? Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Jude, and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" They were offended at him.
Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house." He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them. He marveled because of their unbelief.
