Why is it helpful to confront a brother alone first, before involving others in confronting him?
It is helpful to confront someone alone because now in this day and time you don`t want to embarress anyone. The situation is between you and that person and that is just the proper thing to do. A lot of times people don`t realize what they have done wrong or whatever the case maybe. If confronting alone don`t help then you can involve someone else just in case lies start you will have a witness to keep things honest.

How would you handle a situation at work where you did something wrong and was reprimanded by the Manager, and still when you have a meeting this matter is brought before all the senior members of the organisation, even though you were reprimanded?

Why is it helpful to confront a brother alone first, before involving others in confronting him?
It is helpful to confront a brother alone first, before involving others in confronting him because you need to show him his fault between you and him alone. He might not be aware of the problem he has caused. Persons always like you to confront them alone than to be embarrassed before an audience. The problem might be an oversight, in this way you can get to resolve your differences and become friends again. You have forgiven him. If after confronting him a few times he does not listen, then you need to involve others who would be witnesses of every word that may be established. The word of God says everything bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven.

I try to tell this person of the trouble and hurt they cause, but they refuse to accept any responsibility for their actions. I love them and want to help, but I feel so useless. What can I do?

Maybe the brother doesn`t know what they`re doing is wrong. Instead of embarassing them in front of a group, spare their feelings and pray they change.

Because we just want our brother get to know his sin and return. If he does, then there`s no need to let too much people involved. And this also give brother some respect.

We are all sinners. It is easier for the sinner to hear about it directly and if he listens and acknowledges the sin, then the matter may be resolved. Any confrontation should be in the name of the Lord and should be loving, caring, prayerful and truthful.

This is honestly to avoid embrassement. Yes he may accept you when you come alone than with someone else.

A Brother Who Sins Against You

"If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. But if he doesn't listen, take one or two more with you, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven. Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them."

Matthew 18:15-20
