Pilate physically tortured and beat Jesus beyond recognition seeking to satisfy the Jewish leaders. However the Jews demanded that Jesus be crucified. What calendar are you using, because I know of no Calendar the Gregorian or Julian that has April 15, 30AD as a Friday.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death?
Jesus new it would be and he knew his Father's will would be done. Jesus his kind and has a love so pure, he would help us and give his life for us.

Was Jesus trying to incite his death?
Jesus did not incite his death because he wanted was true worshiping and true beliefs unlike what other leaders of law were practising. It was not proper for people to be vending in the temple as it was regarded for praising and worshiping GOD. In this regard I would say Jesus was not inciting his death though the sellers thought it was wrong to be cahsed out of the temple. About accusing leaders because Jesus wanted them to follow true beliefs that would bring people to salvation. All in all I would say JESUS did not incite his death.

Final Week of Jesus
Do you think Jesus knew the extent of the pain and sufferings that he would have to endure before his death? I think he did but because he loved his father so, he wanted to please him and redeeming his children back to him would make God's heart merry. Because God loved us he loved his father therefore he came to love us just as the father loved us.
