Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?
He wanted to see how they can react to the reality that will soon happen to him and the disciples get prepared to live life without Jesus. Jesus also wanted to gear the disciples to be aware of the mission he came to fulfill on earth.

Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?
Jesus was gearing His deciples for the mission of spreading the good news. Jesus was also alerting His deciples so that they are able to meditate to Him. Jesus tried to let the deciciples hold on their faith for the great commission of spreading His characteristics and the good news '' Mathew 28 Vs 19-20''. Jesus wanted His decipled to know that His mission was about to be accomplished for the salvation of all. This shows that Jesus loved His deciples He assured them that on the third day He will be raised up.

In the first place Jesus knew what his mission was, the whole idea was to let the disciples know ok this is why i am here this is why i came so that i might be glorified, so i have to die, and on the third i will raised up again and be with you always.

i think it was no secret and well i also believe that he was preparing them so that they could not be caught unaware with future events that would follow in Jerusalem. Jesus was being trasparent with his disciples. thank you

I think Jesus does not keep about His death but the deciplse can not easly understood what He said. Jesus usually shows what He did becouse the diciples motive some times was not wright.when He told about the resriction they could not understood.

Why does Jesus keep telling the disciples that He is about to die?
Jesus had to prepare His disciples for the events that was to follow-His crucifixion, His rising from the death, and the prosecution of his foollowers as well, as their exploits in His name. He needed to let the disciples be aware, so they do not fear or doubt and scatter when He is caught and hanged. He needed to let them know that everything that was going to happen, was planned by God and that He Jesus was well informed and as such the disciples should be informed and prepared.

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up."
