Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?

Hello dear friends, Yes Peter denied Jesus for the scriptures to be fulfilled, and by the way by that time he had no sense of direction by the holyspirit.Perhaps if he had the holyspirit he woulden't have done whatever he did.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?
As many of the misteries of the Bible, this is one we´ll have to solve in the kingdom come for it is us that will be persecuted. Then we just have to ask ourselfs, wouldn´t not have been better that Jesus was with one of His dispaples in His last minute, He was dieing for all of us...when tha time comes, some are going to do as Peter(whom latter died in a horrific way anyway) and deny his or her faith, and others that will not do it, knowing we have eternal life in His name.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?
It seems Peter forgot what Jesus spoke to him that he will deny Him (Jesus) three time before the rooster crows. The devil blinded Peter and he could not speak openly like what Jesus was doing. Peter was in darkness and could not even remember the task as well as the miracles of Jesus.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?
Peter was terrified. He had already cut off the right ear of Malchus, the high priest`s servant and perhaps was fearing reprisal for that. But I think events were happening so incredibly fast and beyond Peter`s control - maybe he thought by saving himself, he could be of more use to Jesus, although I think he was just scared and alone.

Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?
He was scared that he might be persecuted and arrested too. Jesus came to proclaim the truth openly in full light and so calls the disciples to proclaim it in the same way. Evil looks for hiding places like Peter is doing now. Jesus stood up for the truth till the end.So he is not breaking the OT commandment about stating the false. That`s why Annas and Caiphas are wrong in beating him on that ground. They are breaking the law here. And Peter too but in all the emotional turmoil in the panic he was confused and scared. Like the other disciples tehy were verty close emotionally to Jesus and could never really understand that that had to happen to their beloved rabbi. Not until he broke the bread in their presnece and all clicked together. Annas and Caiphas are in a position of power and their actions are calmly performed. They are applying the law. Then Peter repented.

Peter's First Denial

Simon Peter followed Jesus, as did another disciple. Now that disciple was known to the high priest, and entered in with Jesus into the court of the high priest; but Peter was standing at the door outside. So the other disciple, who was known to the high priest, went out and spoke to her who kept the door, and brought in Peter. Then the maid who kept the door said to Peter, "Are you also one of this man's disciples?"
He said, "I am not."
Now the servants and the officers were standing there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold. They were warming themselves. Peter was with them, standing and warming himself.
