Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Jesus had amission to fullfil no matter what He was about to face. Jesus knew pretty well that without His death and ressurection, His coming down here wolud have been noticed just like any other earlier prophet. He did not need any one to block His mission not even His dear disciples, although they were acting out of the love they had for Him, and ignorance, wahat Jesus needed at that time was just a clear way to go to Calvary, be crucified, rise after three days, and accomplish His dad's mission. Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Peter is the Jesus' deciple, he listened to words from heaven more than others, and he saw things more than others. However he still didn't get the truth. So Jesus meant it was Sadan who block Peter's eye from seeing the truth, and block Jesus' teaching.

Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Jesus had a mission, he came down for a purpose. To bring salvation to us. He could only do that by giving his life for us. Shedding his blood. Peter's rebuke was a stumbling block to Jesus because he was trying to stop Jesus from fulfilling his fathers commands. By: Caroline Mills - May 12, 2008 - Public Category: Jesus Predicts His Death

Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Because Jesus, knew he had to fulfill the prophecy and give his life for our sins. Through his resurection we are saved. Peter, did not understand the the nature of Christs, mission. His concern for Jesus, was a stumbling block because this was a very difficult task for Jesus. Peter, did not realize he was trying to prevent Christ, from fulfilling his destiny. Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
WE all want to live in the flesh forever its the DEVIL.
We all have to DIE someday and JESUS did it best for all of us to be saved.
Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Jesus knew Peter 's rebuke was really satan using Peter and influencing his mind. Peter's decision to inform Jesus that he wouldn't be killed or suffer many things was a direct contradiction of faith in God. It could possibly influence the other disciples to become doubtful of Jesus's power and righteousness; therefore, nullifying all they had been taught. Why was Peter`s rebuke a stumbling block to Jesus?
Jesus was human and when someone tells you that "you are too good for something or that you don't really need to do something" it puts doubts in your head about what you know you are supposed to do.

When trying to hear Jesus/God talk to you how can you tell when it is Him giving you the answer?

From that time, Jesus began to
show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things
from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third
day be raised up.
Peter took him aside,
and began to rebuke him, saying, "Far be it from you, Lord! This will
never be done to you."
But he turned, and
said to Peter, "Get behind me, Satan! You are a
stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of
God, but on the things of men." Then Jesus said to his
disciples, "If anyone desires to come after me, let
him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whoever desires to save his
life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find
it. For what will it
profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what
will a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man will come in
the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to
everyone according to his deeds. Most certainly I tell you, there
are some standing here who will in no way taste of death, until they see
the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom."
